Features of Bio Electrification

1. Proven Technology: Biomass Gasifier was developed by Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India and further enhanced by DASAG, Switzerland. These are running successfully for more than a decade.
2. Cost of power is Rs 2.56 to 3.16 depending how system is financed, Saving 50-40% Electricity bills.
3. Subsidy by MNES- Ministry of Non Conventional Energy Sources, Government of India is available after system is running successfully for six months.
4. Reliable & Free from Air Pollution of Coal based power Systems.
5. Can be used with diesel in case of emergency of power or no Biomass availability.
6. Can be adjusted if Load changes from 100% to 33%
7. Does not need skilled operators.
8. Freedom from State Power control & rising tariffs.
9. Can be operated Continuously- round the clock due to Well Branded heavy duty Continuous rated Engines.
10. Significant Carbon Credits can also be earned by disciplined, regular, heavy power users.

Kyoto Protocol & Carbon Credits
By using Biomass system we avoid emissions of Carbon Di Oxide gas, which is a Green House Gas as per Kyoto Protocol. Under this protocol steel, power & all polluting companies and big corporations in 55 countries have to reduce their CO2 emissions with respect to 1990 levels. Alternately they can buy Carbon Credits from Indian companies like Banyan Environmental Innovations Private Limited, which is developing Clean Development Project. Please visit http://cdm.unfccc.int/ for more details. One carbon Credit is earned if 1 tonne of CO2 emission is avoided/ reduced.
